We're piloting a Community Herbarium! This project involves collecting and archiving plants to create a library that will document the history of the Civic Garden Center. This collection will be used to teach our community members about plant identification and in our conservation, horticulture, and urban agriculture programming.

Want to be a part of this project? Join us! We'll be digging through our specimen collection and mounting, scanning, and organizing them as they find their place in our herbarium collection. It will take a village of dedicated community members to keep this project going!

This workday also offers an opportunity to support our work but skip the summer heat, as workdays will generally take place indoors. They are also ADA accessible.

No prior experience is necessary; any relevant training will be provided.
