Refund & Cancellation Policy

Class & Event Registrations: Single Ticket

If one ticket to a single class is purchased in a stand-alone transaction, the ticketholder may contact the CGC to request a refund up to 24 hours prior to the start of the class or event. Due to the limitations of our third-party registration platform, any donations made during the registration transaction will also be refunded. (Please note that it can take 3-5 business days for the refund to be processed.) Alternatives to requesting a refund include:

  • Finding a friend or acquaintance to use the ticket.

  • Transferring your registration to another class currently listed on the CGC’s calendar of equal value (even exchange only).

  • Considering the registration fee a donation to support the CGC’s work.

Any cancellations requested less than 24 hours prior to the start of the class or event, including no-shows, will be considered donations to support the CGC’s work.

Class & Event Registrations: Multiple Tickets

Due to the limitations of our third-party registration platform, we are unable to refund partial purchases (multiple tickets purchased in the same transaction). Options include:

  • Requesting a refund for all purchased tickets, then re-purchasing the needed amount. (Please note that it can take 3-5 business days for the refund to be processed.)

  • Finding a friend or acquaintance to use the extra ticket(s).

  • Considering the excess registration fee(s) a donation to support the CGC’s work.

Class & Event Registrations: Series

Ticket exchanges and partial refunds are not available on series tickets. For tickets purchased for individual classes or events within a series, please see Class & Event Registrations: Single Ticket or Class & Event Registrations: Multiple Tickets above.

Class & Event Registrations: Rescheduling & Cancellation

The CGC may occasionally need to reschedule or cancel a class for reasons beyond our control, such as inclement weather or instructor illness. In such instances, the CGC will contact registered participants via email with details and options.

For rescheduled classes and events, ticketholders are automatically registered for the new date. Ticketholders who cannot attend on the new date may choose from the options listed under Class & Event Registrations: Single Ticket or Class & Event Registrations: Multiple Tickets—whichever is applicable to the original registration transaction.

For cancelled classes and events, ticketholders will typically have the choice of:

  • Transferring your registration to another class currently listed on the CGC’s calendar of equal value (even exchange only).

  • Considering the registration fee a donation to support the CGC’s work.

  • Requesting a refund of the registration fee. (Please note that it can take 3-5 business days for the refund to be processed and that due to the limitations of our third-party registration platform, any donations made during the registration transaction will also be refunded.)

Event-specific options will be communicated to registered ticketholders via email shortly after the decision to cancel is made.

Facility Rentals

For all facility rentals on CGC property, the following cancellation and refund policies apply (as laid out in the Rental Agreement):

  • Event rentals must be cancelled no later than two weeks in advance of the rental start time to receive a full refund of the rental fee. Cancellations made at least 7 days prior to the rental start time will result in a refund of half of the rental fee. No rental fee will be returned for (1) cancellations made fewer than 7 days in advance or (2) failure to show on the reserved date.

  • If the rental fee is not paid in full two weeks prior to the start time of the rental, the reservation is subject to cancellation.

  • If it becomes necessary to reschedule an event due to weather or other extenuating circumstances, the deposit will be applied to the new date, and the balance due date will be adjusted accordingly.

  • The CGC reserves the right to cancel an event due to CGC scheduling conflicts. In the event of such a cancellation, a full refund will be issued.
