Monarch butterflies make an incredible journey every summer from Mexico to Canada and back. Along the way, they depend on milkweed plants to feed their caterpillars and nectar sources to fuel their long migration. Our Save the Monarchs Garden Kit includes five native milkweed plants, along with 10 other CGC-grown 8” native plant plugs perfect for creating butterfly habitat. All kits also include a guide with information about each species, design recommendations, and an installation and maintenance plan.
Each kit includes the following native plant species in the quantity specified:
5 Asclepias incarnata - Swamp Milkweed
3 Echinacea purpurea - Purple Coneflower
2 Eutrochium purpureum - Sweet Joe Pye Weed
3 Panicum virgatum - Switchgrass
2 Vernonia fasciculata - Ironweed
One or more of these plants are exclusive to this kit and won’t be available at the CGC’s booth during the Fall Native Plant Festival!
