Horticulture Partners
We believe in a sustainable future for all—and it’s going to take all of us to achieve this vision. Our partnerships in the Cincinnati community are the foundation of our work. From garden clubs to local independent nurseries and corporations to fellow nonprofit organizations, anyone with a passion for gardening has a place at the CGC. Here are some ways to partner with us.
Pollinator Garden Partnerships
Pollinator gardens provide essential habitat to urban wildlife, connect people with nature and inspire civic engagement. By teaming up with other organizations and our unstoppable volunteers, we create beautiful, educational gardens in the neighborhoods that need them most. Annual Events
Our two annual plant festivals bring together hundreds of new and experienced gardeners to celebrate all things plants! We sell a wide variety of herbs, vegetables and native plants alongside other festival elements like food trucks, craft vendors, kids’ activities, educational opportunities, live music and more. Here’s how you can be a part of these community-favorite events:
We are always looking for sponsors who believe in the CGC’s work and are proud to show their support financially. For more information about sponsorship benefits and opportunities, contact Karen Kahle: kkahle@civicgardencenter.org
Both events include a limited amount of space for partners and non-plant vendors. For more information, email Brandon Reynolds: breynolds@civicgardencenter.org.
The native plants in our Fall Native Plant Festival booth are grown right here at the CGC, but we also invite local nurseries and growers to join us every year. Contact Julie Dennewitz for more information: jdennewitz@civicgardencenter.org
Outreach & Presentations
Our staff is available for a limited number of outside speaking and teaching engagements for groups such as garden clubs, schools, church and community groups, and community councils. We also run programs at libraries and other community organizations. Our areas of expertise cover native plants, urban agriculture, sustainable gardening practices and habitat restoration. Submit your request to get the ball rolling.
Horticulture Resources
We’re here to support your gardening journey. Looking for planting tips? Weeding advice? Information on creating habitat? Maybe you just need a list of what to plant in the flower bed outside your office building? You’re in the right place. We’ll add more resources as we create them!
