Our Annual Events
We hold three big events each year: two plant-focused festivals and our Winter Open House.
GrowFest
Kicking off with classes in mid-March and culminating in our beloved spring plant sale, GrowFest celebrates all things urban agriculture! Our Hauck Botanic Garden home is clad in its spring finest at this time of year. Come learn about topics related to growing food, sustainable gardening, native plants and more as the growing season is ramping up, then join us for a day-long plant sale featuring vegetables, herbs, pollinator-friendly perennials and native plants as well as plenty of people, products and information sessions to help you feel like part of a community that’s growing together.
Whether you’ve never tended a plant before or you’ve been growing for decades…whether you have a backyard plot or a bed in a community garden or some pots on your balcony…we’re here to help you find success on your terms. The benefits of gardening are bountiful, and no one should be excluded from experiencing them. Because at the CGC, no one grows alone!

The Fall Native Plant Festival
Are you a native plant novice? Expert? Somewhere in between? Join us for our annual Fall Native Plant Festival! Whether you don’t know what a native plant is or have been growing them for years, this free, multi-vendor celebration of all things native plants is for you. The day-long event includes local growers, educational sessions, live music, food and drinks, family-friendly activities and more.

The Winter Open House
The First Friday in December
Celebrate the year with the CGC community! This drop-in open house is a chance for our donors, volunteers, community members and staff to come together for light refreshments and good company. Keep an eye on our calendar or sign up for our eNews to stay in the loop.
