Our Green Teens Challenge gives high school students and teachers a foundation from which to explore creative solutions to today’s climate crisis! It includes eight months’ worth of themed monthly challenges that align with Greater Cincinnati’s local seasonality.
Participating schools are invited to the CGC for a 4-hour field study, and that's where you come in! Field study facilitators help provide students with an exciting, enriching experience as they explore our outdoor classroom.
Fall field studies are most often on Thursdays from 10-2pm, although some adaptability will be necessary to accommodate for teachers’ schedules. Field studies typically begin between 9 and 10am, and we ask facilitators to arrive half an hour earlier to help set up. An ideal volunteer would be available for multiple dates, but you do NOT need to help with all the field trips! Background checks are required.
This event (and any field studies you facilitate between July 31 and November 20) counts toward our 2026 Volunteer-A-Thon!
Want to help provide these unique experiences for the next generation? The first step is to attend this facilitator training! Make sure you’re registered as a CGC volunteer, then…
