Crop Prop Workday

  • The Civic Garden Center 2715 Reading Road Cincinnati, Ohio, 45206 United States (map)

Want to get your hands dirty growing food? Come help us start seeds for cole crops! During this hands-on workday, you’ll learn how to "bump up" plants like kale, spinach, collards, and broccoli into larger containers. The plants you help grow will be available at our Fall Native Plant Festival on Saturday, September 12, and distributed to our network of community gardens. Just bring your gardening gloves and enthusiasm!

Whether you’re totally new to gardening or have many years of experience, this workday is for you. Please bring gloves, if you have them, and a water bottle. Wear closed-toed shoes and clothes you’re comfortable getting dirty. All other tools and materials will be provided.

Want to join us? Make sure you’re registered as a CGC volunteer, then…
