CGC Volunteer Waiver

CGC volunteers agree to the following waiver during the initial volunteer registration process. (If you’ve already registered using our online form, you’re all set!)

I hereby release, discharge, and hold harmless the Civic Garden Center, their agents, employees, attorneys, directors, donors, sponsors and volunteers from all claims of whatever nature, including but not limited to personal injury or death and property damage.

I understand that there are risks, known and unknown, associated with volunteering at Civic Garden Center sites, including but not limited to injury by tools and hazardous or hidden substances or materials; and I assume all such risks arising from this volunteer activity.

I understand that only Civic Garden Center staff are qualified to administer emergency medical or first aid and that all other volunteers are not. I consent to the securing of an emergency vehicle on my behalf in the event that I am incapacitated or injured.

I consent to the use, without compensation or payment, of my photograph or likeness in connection with publicity or information about the Civic Garden Center. I authorize the Civic Garden Center of Greater Cincinnati to conduct whatever background check may be deemed appropriate, including contacting my references and conducting a routine police check.
