Viburnum dilatatum
Linden Viburnum
This mid-sized Asian viburnum has a tendency to form dense, messy thickets and is even considered invasive in several states.
Prefers full sun or part shade and moist, well-drained soil.
Produces white flowers in late spring, followed by red berries that remain into winter.
Leaves resemble the linden tree and turn a deep purple-red in fall.
Linden viburnum is not recommended for planting; try a native species instead.
Drought tolerant and deer resistant.
