  • This spreading perennial grows to a height of 3 ft in moist, sunny locations and produces blue flowers in late spring.

  • It often dies back in the summer heat but can occasionally rebloom in fall. 

  • Tender young leaves make a nice salad green or can be wilted like spinach.  

  • Horticulturist’s Notes: Spiderwort should be cut back after blooming to clean up dying stalks and encourage new growth.
