Ribes x ‘Captivator’
Captivator Gooseberry
While this cultivar is thornless and produces a multitude of sweet pink berries, it is not a true native. Captivator Gooseberry is a hybrid of an American and European variety.
It grows to 5 ft tall and wide, in a tidier shape than its wild cousins.
Gooseberries can be eaten raw or cooked. They have traditionally been used in a variety of dishes, from cakes to stews to treats for children.
