Prunus x subhirtella 'Snozofam'
Snow Fountain Weeping Cherry

  • Snow Fountain is a popular landscaping cultivar of the Japanese higan cherry.

  • It has a small weeping form and is commonly grafted onto a straight trunk, creating its signature fountain shape.

  • It is covered in white flowers in early spring that draw in some generalist pollinators.

  • Prefers full sun and moist, rich soil.

  • Horticulturist’s Notes: Because of its grafted form, Snow Fountain will often put out multiple straight branches from its graft site or the base of its trunk. These need to be pruned off as soon as possible. Pruning should also be done on the weeping branches to keep them from dragging on the ground.
