It grows about 3 feet tall on narrow stems and can spread quickly through underground stolons.
Prefers full sun and moist soil.
Beebalm can be susceptible to powdery mildew and tends to decline after flowering.
Leaves and flowers are edible and have a mild minty flavor.
Deer resistant.
