Mimulus ringens
Alleghany Monkey Flower
This small native perennial has pale pink summer flowers that resemble snapdragons.
It grows best in full sun or part shade and moist to wet soil.
It will spread over time through self-seeding and creeping rhizomes.
Plants are narrow and sparse and look more at home in a woodland setting than a typical garden, but the flowers are attractive to bees and other pollinators.
Deer resistant.
