Hedra helix
English Ivy
Native to northern Europe, English Ivy is a highly invasive evergreen vine.
It grows in sun or shade to create a dense groundcover and climbs quickly, causing damage to both trees and buildings.
In its climbing form, it produces dark blue berries that are eaten by birds but are also poisonous to them.
Drought tolerant, tolerant of harsh urban conditions and deer resistant.
Due to its invasive nature, English Ivy should not be planted.
