Transform the way you look at smoothies for the rest of your life! In this hands-on, beginner-friendly class, you'll learn how to build powerful, nutrient-packed smoothies using fruits, vegetables, herbs and immune-boosting teas. We’ll talk about pairing flavor and function, explore edible garnishes and dive into the wellness benefits of herbs and teas used in each blend.
Starting with a demonstration, we'll make two vibrant immunity-boosting smoothie recipes together. You'll have a chance to make your own smoothie, taste both recipes and garnish your creation. You'll also get to build a custom pack filled with ingredients to support your smoothie journey at home. We’ll end with time to enjoy our smoothies, ask questions and share, and you'll leave feeling inspired—not just to drink smoothies, but to embrace more joy and intention in the way you nourish yourself.
Ages 15 and up are welcome. No prior experience needed, just curiosity and a love for wellness or creativity in the kitchen. If you want to try the recipes at home, you'll need access to a basic blender.
MEET YOUR INSTRUCTOR: My name is Cofi—pronounced like the beverage. I serve as a Consultant and own and operate By Cofi, a faith-based wellness lifestyle brand. We focus on the four pillars of wellness: physical, spiritual, emotional, and social.
I absolutely love cooking, growing people and food, and advocating for food justice in my hometown of Cincinnati, where I was born and raised. I bring enthusiasm and creativity to my wellness workshops, including this upcoming Immunity-Boosting Smoothie experience. I look forward to welcoming you—we’re going to have an unforgettable time! Bring your smile and a desire to learn.
I currently serve as a REACH WeTHRIVE! Navigator through Hamilton County, volunteer with La Soupe, sit on the main board of Queens Village, and lead an initiative for the first Produce Pop-Up Shop at the Woodlawn Community Center in partnership with Metro. I’m a proud graduate of the Civic Gardener Development Training (CGDT) course and the Findlay Learn cohort. My floral artwork was featured in Art in Bloom at the Cincinnati Art Museum, and my exhibition, Feed the People By Cofi, will run at the Contemporary Arts Center from September 1-30. I also create a signature herbal tea line through By Cofi, featuring aromatic, caffeine-free blends that will soon be available in select local markets.
Everything I do focuses on the belief that wellness should be accessible, beautiful, and community-driven. My faith informs every layer of my work—from the seeds I plant, to the way I serve, and how I live.
Fun Fact: I grow my own food in a flourishing food forest and care for 10 quail! Follow me on Instagram: @bycofi_lifestylebrand to stay connected and inspired.
