Ecosystem Restoration with Native Plants

  • The Civic Garden Center 2715 Reading Road Cincinnati, OH, 45206 United States (map)

You’ve begun removing the invasive plants from your property...now what?

Once invasive plants have been removed, it’s important to start establishing native plants in their place. In this class, we'll focus on the steps that follow invasive plant removal and what it takes to establish a healthy native plant community on your property. We'll discuss timelines, site conditions, planting options, species selection and ongoing maintenance.

This class is designed for property owners and managers working on five or fewer acres. However, these principles can be scaled up to larger sites.

INSTRUCTOR: Sam Settlemyre, CGC Conservation Program Manager

COST: $20 / $10 for active CGC volunteers
