Water is crucial to the health of our gardens and our planet. Learn how the right approach to gardening can be sustainable and combat the climate crisis. This is the second class in a 5 part series: A Gardening Approach to Sustainability. Stay after to put together your own rain barrel and implement these sustainable practices right at home! It is $15 to attend the class and $65 if you set up your rain barrel to take home. If you plan to build a rain barrel you must register by 3/30. Kate Cook is the Manager of the Seasonal Retail Garden and Horticulture department at Growing Trade Pet and Plant in Northside. She has contributed to the local agricultural scene for over a decade, as an independent market farmer through the CHEF Initiative at Findlay Market; Market Garden Manager for Carriage House Farm; and as a Certified Master Rain Gardener, specializing in small-space urban gardens and companion planting systems.

Cost: $15 for class or $65 for class and a rain barrel
