Carya x
Hican
An unusual hybrid of two native nut trees, the Pecan and Hickory, that combines the best qualities of both species.
Grows best in rich well-drained soil and will be very large at maturity.
Produces a large, flavorful nut that is easier to shell than a normal hickory. They store well through the winter and can be eaten raw, cooked or blended into milk or butter.
The wood from both parent species is prized for its strength and beauty.
