Canna x generalis
Canna Lily
This tropical-feeling perennial is a hybrid of South American and Indian varieties.
It grows up to 6 feet tall and can spread slightly over time through rhizomes.
Prefers full sun and moist soil.
Produces large summer flowers in a variety of colors.
Horticulturist’s Notes: Cannas do well in hot, humid weather but do not always survive Cincinnati winters. Rhizomes should be dug up in fall and stored somewhere cool and dry until spring.
