The garden was
built in the autumn of 2001. Mary Phillips, a graduate of the 2001
Community Garden Development Training series, dreamed of turning
the vacant lot across from her home into a food producing community
garden. Volunteers helped turn that dream into reality with fourteen
cedar raised beds, a beautification area and shaded seating area.
Garden Size
The garden has 14) 4 x
12 raised beds.
On Christmas day, 2006, a water main
broke in Evanston causing the above damage to the Holloway Hope
Community Garden. Volunteer crews will rebuild the garden soon.
Let us know if you can help! We could use a compact utility loader
to fill these beds once we realign them! (513) 221-0981 ext. 16
